Boating with the Grandparents

Even though the summer's almost over, we only just had our first ride on my dad and stepmom's boat. Also I belive this was Max's first time (at least with me there). I think he liked it!

The suckers helped. So did the grapes, watermelon and chips.
His big bro sure loved it too. This was my favorite shot. All three of my boys. Aren't they cute?
Then we stopped off at a little restraunt floating on the river. It was pretty cool. Levi loved chasing all the birds and Max loved making a big mess.
It's a rare sight, but here's a pic of the women behind the camera.

The Big Five

Friday was our five year anniversary. I can't even believe it has been five whole years. I know to some it doesn't sound like that long and probably in the future when I read this I will think of myself as a 'young wippersnapper' but five whole years is a long time to me.

We got a sitter for all day Friday and got my mom and brother to take the boys for the night and Saturday. It was heavenly not to have to worry about kids for a whole 36 hours. Loved it. We got to go to Ikea, have lunch, go shoe shopping and just have fun enjoying each other's company. It was great to be able to shop together and help each other pick out shoes. Jason's not so bad to take shopping, I'll have to remember that.

For our big day we went to Lake Merwin where my dad and step-mom have a place. We got to go kayaking, have a little picnic and reminisce. I brought the scrapbooks I made of our first couple years of marriage and Levi's first year and we talked about some of our favorite memories. Corny but I loved every minute of it. I often forget about the little things that made me smile. Turns out, they still do.

I'm so glad I got married to the man I did. I can't imagine my life with anyone but him. Here's to another great five years!

Cheese Ball

Another impromptu photo shoot after Levi demanded it while I had my camera out. I sure love that face!

Gummi Love

Who wouldn't love a HUGE gummi shark?

Jason's Newer Big Tank

Jason here. I upgraded my tank a couple of months ago. I have learned a lot from the other tanks I have done and this one is by far my favorite tank.

It is not easy to get a good picture of the full set up. This is not my best picture, but it is recent and shows the whole set up.

Here are some better pictures of the upper and lower sections separately.

Upper section, current picture.

Lower section, older picture.

Ride em' Cowboy

While in Montana we got to go visit Aunt Judy and her horses, they were beautiful!
I think Max liked them.

Levi too, though he was a little shy at first.

To Aunt Judy, 'thank you ma'm'!

Tears

I sometimes wonder if I'm the only mom who has burst out laughing when their kid starts crying. Sometimes it is SO funny and SO adorable (at least at first). Max is in a phase right now where he knows what he wants and wants it right now. Or else. I believe it's called toddlerhood. Sometimes his little pouts are downright hilarious!

Collapse! That one gets me every time. He's so passionate.

Food

I don't know why but it seems that most of my pictures of Mr. Max are of him stuffing his face. He eats like a champ and right now can out eat his brother.

Cousins

While we were in Montana there was a LOT of cousin time. And they loved every minute of it!

So attractive

I have the most adorable boys on the planet.

And Jason, THIS is why I take so many pictures.

Pitstop

On our trip to Montana we stopped midway at 'the Uncles house' as Levi has named it. Stopping for the night definitely made it a much more pleasant experience.
Levi's always in toy heaven.
And I think Jason is too.
They always are sure to have a good ol' Goodrich breakfast which all the boys love.
And Max loves playing with Grandpa Larry.

It's official

I'm pretty sure I can now say that Levi is potty trained. He hasn't had an accident in months and for the past few days I haven't had to remind him at all to go to the bathroom. It's been a fun ride and something he's mostly done by himself with not too much prompting. Now if I could just get him to pull up his own pants and wipe....

The Napster

Sometimes you just need to sit back and relax.
