Thunderware

We had to make a Target stop off for a couple of things then since we had some time we looked around for a little bit. I LOVED that Levi grabbed these and then exclaimed "Mom, if these had a name they would be THUNDERWARE!!!!" Love that kid.
While going through the baby section we saw this little baby hat and tried to get Davis to wear it but he kept throwing it. He would be so cute with it on. I have no idea how people get those things to stay on their kids heads. Not my guy.

Then they begged for some toy section time to get some ideas for Christmas. Max had me photograph a bunch of toys he liked. Yeah, he didn't get any of them.

And for some reason Davis just wanted me to rub and rub his back. Love it.
Can you tell Max dresses himself every day?
There was a huge windstorm and as the boys and I were headed to pick up Levi we went up the street and found a garbage can in the middle of the road because of the wind (later Jason pointed out it could have been punk teenagers but it was the middle of the day but maybe) . I could have gone around but I didn't want anyone to get hurt. Then turn the corner and I see this, another one. I saw another one after that too and moved them. Crazy wind. If you can't see in the background all the other ones lying down. Every single one.
Package delivery! Prepping my shop for the holidays. I hate running out of supplies so I stock up.
Jared, who owns a record shop in Portland, wanted to have the boys draw a bunch of pictures on some flash cards that he would use to turn into gift certificates, he did this last year and people loved it. So they worked for days and days drawing whatever popped into their heads. They were all pretty hilarious. As a reward Jared took them to Wunderland with the promise of unlimited nickles then dinner. You can't get better payment than that at 5 and 7 years old.
And in an effort to teach Levi some life skills we had him help with dinner. Jason is showing him how to brown meat. Atta kid.

Davis and I having a moment on my bed, I love this cutie.

Wrestling time! On Wednesdays Jason goes for most of it then has to leave a half hour or so early to get to YM's so then Davis and I come and pick them up. It's kind of nice having them old enough to leave them for a little bit on their own. They are getting to be such big independent boys. PS wrestling rooms are hot and sweaty.
Crepe night done right. It's Max's most requested dinner. Crepes and grapes.
Sorry Jason for the horrible picture but it is the only one could get. We actually got to had a date night! Mongolian grill and then a movie. I decided we needed to do more regular, out of the house date nights so I set it up with a girl in our ward to come every other Friday for a few hours and then my mom could finish the night and put the kids to bed.
Time to clean up the church! Jason mostly kept Davis entertained in the gym with a ball and I took Max to clean up the chapel. We might not have got a ton of work done but I think we had fun. I got to talk to Max about the sacrament (we cleaned the sacrament area) so that was good.

And our ward did a dinner and auction night to help the youth raise money for camp and trek this year. They were very well organized and provided babysitting. This is really the only picture I got of the night but it was fun. All the adults did the dinner and auction while the kids went and played. Davis was in the little little kid room and did great. I did think it was funny he was sitting on a chair with his bottle. When I peeked I saw one of the girls put him up on the chair whic h I thought was odd but he was doing fine so I didn't want to step in. Usually he likes to lay down to drink, he's never in a chair for bottle time.
At the auction I bid on this and got a GREAT deal on it. It is for the boot camp classes which I want to do during the day (they have child care!) but Davis has been sick so I can't do those until he's less boogery. But I have done a number of evening classes which I've liked so far.
